Dear Friends,
What began as a way for a few tamburaši to easily keep in
touch has grown far beyond what Vjeko Dimter, Tamburaland developer,
first expected. With more than 200 user accounts and numerous guests
visiting Tamburaland.com, this site has become extremely popular
within the tambura community. Musicians, tambura fans, and passers
by all seem to like and appreciate this well developed site.
Whether it is to check out the latest CD releases, to find out
what musical events are being held in your area, or to see what
outlandish comments our dear friends “JoeLeno” and the
“Curious Tamburaš” are posting, Tamburaland.com
provides all its visitors with endless hours of entertainment. How
about the vast selection of downloadable mp3 files and the large
database of song lyrics? Tamburaland.com is the only website that
you need to visit to satisfy your craving for anything tambura related.
The increased amount of information posted on Tamburaland.com as
well the large influx of visitors has created the need for larger
Internet hardware capacities. With this increase in capacities comes
an increase in cost. Up until now, Vjeko Dimter has been incurring
all of Tamburaland.com’s operating costs. THANK YOU VJEKO.
The current operating costs of Tamburaland.com have risen beyond
what our friend, Vjeko, should have to pay on his own.
We, the users of Tamburaland.com, must take it upon ourselves to
help Vjeko pay for Tamburaland.com’s operating expenses and
keep our favorite website online. Please keep in mind that, aside
from cash donations to Tamburaland.com, various tamburica-recording
artists have been contributing portions of their proceeds from Tamburaland.com
CD sales to Tamburland.com. Thank you tamburaši.
I am sure that, amongst all of us, we can cover the operating
costs of Tamburaland.com for years to come.
Please note that Tamburaland.com is a non-profit site. All donations,
large or small, will be greatly appreciated and will only be used
in paying for Tamburaland.com’s operating costs.
