Dear Member and Friends of CNH Javor,

Please join us at Javor Hall on Wednesday, December 1, 2004 at 7:00 p.m. for the special informational meeting of the Croatian National Hall Javor. As an integral member and concerned friend, you are invited to participate in the unprecedented decision-making plans for the future of our Club.

The time has come for us as an organization to decide how or if we will exist in the future. Over the past several years, the CNH Javor Board has struggled to successfully operate the Club. Membership in Javor and attendance at Club activities are at an all-time low. Despite our efforts to continue our regular volunteer functions – fish fries, picnic, Sunday dinners, golf outing and Night at the Races – they are not enough to keep us solvent. And while we have already reduced the hours of operation, that too has not allowed us to keep up with our ongoing expenses.

Fortunately, the building is currently in good condition and is structurally sound. However, if any major repairs are needed, we could not afford to make them. Unless something extraordinary happens over the next few months, we simply cannot afford to continue to operate as we have been. The Board has had some serious discussion about options for the future, including closing the club and selling the building while it is in good condition?

As a vital member of this organization, there has never been a more critical time for you to have an active voice in the future of Croatian National Hall Javor. Please plan to attend this special meeting, and bring your ideas and suggestions that may help to extend the life of our organization in its existing facility.

Dodite na sjednicu prvog prosinca sa prijedlozima i planovima za buducnost opstojanja Javora u postojecem objektu. Samo udruženi možemo pronaci rješenje za sacuvanje mjesta u kojem se sastajemo, zabavljamo i prenašamo ljubav prema domovini naših predaka - na mlade naraštaje.
