A friend of mine bought a Kudlig prim (spelling ??) and it is exactly the same cut/build/design whatever you wanna call it....looks identical. He bought his prim from Mario Zbiljski, it is the one he used to record "Di su dado kola stara" on the Slavonske Lole album "Malena"

Bok SRVT,
I bought a Kudlik prim from Mario Zbiljski(Slavonskie Lole). The instrument for sale might be a kudlik looks similar. Could someone shed some light and tell us who made the little baby hehe

I wonder where the guy who is selling it got his hands on it???
That reminds me, if anyone ever notices a Duretic bugarija being sold on e-bay, PLEASE send me a private message.
The seller name will be something like Omar or Habib....

Joe, I think it is one the instruments that disappeared from under my bed a few years ago. If you notice there is only one E string which makes it easier to solve that mystery. My visitors during that time were Boduli, Gazde, and Mome from Windsor. Hmmm.....Who needed money to get home from florida?
another set up for bid
2 weeks ago asked $600.00 U.S. for it no bidders
now $400.00
don't look to good

hah i see i'm not the only one that checks E-bay for tamburas. Infact Plj i saw that link you posted yesterday, I havn't seen the one that Joe posted. I'm not no tambura expert but when i first saw it Tatic came to mind. But that's cuz i see SRVT to much and he always plays his tatic. Kudlik is my next choice.

Has anyone ever seen any good tambura's and ebay? Because all I ever see are ones that look like crap.

i doubt we'll ever see good tambure on the net. People usually dont sell them. But then again there are people like this guy who doesn't even know what he has or what it might be worth. I've been checking e-bay for tambure a lot, still havn't found any
Clive you got to check on almost every 5 days. I do search under Tambura (Get sitars), tamburitza, croatia and croatian. Last I saw was a brac (U.S. made) went for about $450.00. Six months ago the was a unique Turtle shell prim that I was bidding on , went for 250-300.00 missed out on it cause i forgot the length of time left on the aution. You can find them just takes time, I know you can't tell the quality of sound but you can always resell it back on E-bay.
If I see anything worth while I'll post it here.

When I was young my grandfather was telling me about turtle tambure, He said that when he was in the army the troops got sent to Macedonia. There were alot of turtles there so they made tambure from them.

I have a friend that had an antique turtle shell prim. He took it back to Hrvatska and had a tambura maker (I think Mr. Djuretic) rework it for him. Upon his return, the U.S. immigration folks gave him a very stern lecture about extinct turtles and endangerd animals and the restricted use of shells. After a lot of explaining, he was excused as it was a very old shell.
The instrument really doesn't sound very good at all, but it sure looks cool.

For those interested
Got the prim, strings were completely rusted from one end to the other (came from Florida). Some scratches no warping or cracks, but 2 frets lifted a little and needed a new bridge. when I get it back i'll update.
