This past weekend was the Annual Hrvatsko Lovacko Drustvo "Kuna" banquet @ St. Jeromes Church in Chicago, IL. This years entertainment was provided by Midwest Cirkus Tamburasi. The food was excellent (seafood soup, bear gulas and salata) but the crowd could have used some more women for the hunters to dance with. Maybe next year we can invite the SouthSide Women's Cooking club??

The next day was a special retirement party for John Sobol. John, a Dalmatinac from Rijeka has been a successful Barber on the North Side of Chicago. His family thought it would be a nice surprise to have Cirkus Tamburasi come play for him and the rest of his guests. It was a pleasure to play for such nice people. Although Mr. Fil Vucinic had a hard time staying awake and could barely keep the Cheeeevaps down from the previous night. I'm sure we all slept in today a bit after this weekend. ...laku noc..
