In an ongoing effort to promote tamburica music, Saint Basil of Ostrog Serbian Orthodox Church held their 3rd annual Midwestern Tambura fest on June 5 2004. Eight different orchestras from around the country participated. They were, The Savtic 4 Lake Forest Il , Becari St louis Mo, Bajich Brothers Kansas City Mo, St Sava Tamburitzans Milwaukee Wi, Prazna Flasa Milwaukee Wi, T-Rroma Chicago IL , Kapetani, Lake Forest, IL and Jedinstvo Phoenix AZ. We ‘d like to thank Marko Vojcanin and the committee for extending an invitation to us to perform.
Each group performed a short 20 minute concert followed by dancing. We were very happy to see our long time friend, Branko ‘brane' Pavlovic from Sar' e Roma in attendance. He played a few songs with us performing his usual wizardry. I was also proud to have my proteze Jovan Krcadinac perform 'Fijaker Stari' with T-Rroma. I had only been teaching him for 7 weeks prior.
