Duka report
For this next installment of Tamburalicks, I am going to stray
from my regular mode of presenting licks and introduce someone who
has had a great deal of experience learning from and playing with
one of the best tamburasi in the world.. Steve Wagner, otherwise
known as Prsti, is an accomplished tamburas living in the Pittsburgh
area. A significant part of his tambura career has been spent in
the company of Jerry Grcevich. Throughout his years of performing
with Jerry, Prsti has collected a vast repertoire of songs in his
musical scrapbook and has graciously allowed Vjeko and myself to
share some with you. This week’s feature is a Gypsy Kolo for prim.
In the next edition of Tamburalicks, you’ll get the accompanying
brac 2 part. Enjoy this one. It has quite a few accidentals and
shifts and leaps all over the neck.
Prsti's famous quote: “Quit playin’ my part!”

and Vjeko Dimter.
Note by Vjeko: I think, we recorded this kolo back in 1992
on Jerry's old 8 track Fostex recorder. Recording was done just
for fun and it was never intended for public release. I am posting
it here that you can hear what the lick is supposed to sound like
when played on tambura.
